Appearance: transparent colorless liquid until slightly yellowish

RECEIVING:
- from coniferous tree resin (pine/spruce)
- by steam distillation of oleoresin
- by-product of pulp-paper. industry-ti

APPLICATION (what I learned):
1) Thinner for oil. paints (especially for artists)
- is volatile and dries quickly
- dissolves pigments well
- for primer and first coats

2) Raw materials for chemical industry:
- synthesis of camphor
- menthol synthesis
- fragrant in -va and fragrances
- alcohol of turpentine

3) Other areas:
- varnishes and paints
- pesticides
- paper industry-
- textile industry-
- traditional medicine (!!!)

TOXICITY:
- Harmful if inhaled/swallowed/in contact with skin
- Irritating to eyes and skin
- May cause allergies (!!!)
- If ingested - there is a danger of lung damage!!!
- Toxic to aquatic life

PRECAUTIONS:
- Wear gloves and goggles!!!
- Good ventilation
- Keep away from children
- DO NOT pour down the drain!
- Extinguish: foam, powder, CO2 (NOT WATER!!!)
