Vitamin E CAS 59-02-9 is a form of vitamin E that is preferentially absorbed and accumulated in humans. This fat-soluble antioxidant compound contains a chromanol structure and shows potent antioxidation effects.
α-Tocopherol is a potent inhibitor of phorbol ester induced shape change of erythro- and megakaryoblastic leukemia cells. It is the most bioactive of the naturally occurring forms of Vitamin E and is found particularly in sunflower and olive oils.
